Is ZoomBucks Legit & Safe? My Honest Review
These days, paid survey websites are a dime a dozen. Given the choice, it's often hard to find ones that are legit amidst all of the choices.
ZoomBucks is one popular get-paid-to website that's owned by the same company that runs Grab Points. You've probably heard of it if you've decided to read this review!
Like other reward sites, ZoomBucks lets you earn free PayPal cash and gift cards for completing a variety of tasks.
But is ZoomBucks safe and legit? And how much can you actually earn with this survey site?
I tested out the site to learn how it works and to see if it's legitimate. And, our ZoomBucks review is covering everything you need to know about this gpt site so you can decide if it's worth using.

What Is ZoomBucks?
ZoomBucks is a popular paid survey website that's available in almost every country, making it one of the most globally-friendly GPT sites out there.
The site actually disappeared for four years before relaunching back in 2018.
And, as mentioned, ZoomBucks is owned by Reward Holdings Limited, the same company that runs popular rewards website Grab Points.
Signing up for ZoomBuck is completely free, and I found it pretty easy to navigate and use. The site lets you earn points by completing surveys and other online tasks.
In exchange, you redeem your points for dozens of free gift cards, PayPal money, or prepaid Visas.
All in all, it's a comprehensive get-paid-to website that offers a range of ways to earn and plenty of rewards.
How Does ZoomBucks Work?
Making money online with ZoomBucks is very straightforward, and it only took me a few minutes to sign up. Once you sign up, ZoomBucks lets you make money by answering surveys and other types of online tasks.
Let's dive into how each ZoomBucks step works so you know what to expect.
1. Sign Up For ZoomBucks
You sign up for ZoomBucks with your email or by connecting through Facebook or Google. Afterwards, you complete a short profile so ZoomBucks understands more about you and can match you to better offers.
Information you provide ZoomBucks when signing up includes your:
- Full name
- Date of birth
- Address
- Country of residence
- Gender
All of this takes about two minutes, and afterwards, you're ready to earn rewards with ZoomBucks.
2. Answer Paid Surveys
The main way to make money with ZoomBucks is to answer surveys from its list of survey partners.
ZoomBucks is a survey aggregator, so it works with various research companies rather than hosting its own surveys.
Popular survey panels on ZoomBucks include:
- Dynata Paid Surveys
- CPX Research
- PeanutLabs
- Yuno Survey Wall
These are the same survey panels you find on websites like InboxDollars and Grindabuck, and they're reputable providers that let you earn cash for your opinion.
Surveys range in length, but you're usually looking at 10 to 30 minutes and can earn $0.50 to $2 or $3 per survey you complete.
3. Complete Offers
Another way to earn rewards with ZoomBucks is to complete various offers from its Offer Wall section. This is where I found the highest-paying opportunities for my account.
Again, ZoomBucks works with several partners like AdGateMedia, AdWall, and OfferToro to provide you with earning opportunities.
Examples of offers you can complete include:
- Playing mobile games for money
- Visiting new websites
- Signing up for different services or products
- Installing apps
- Entering your email into sweepstakes
- Trying various cryptocurrency exchanges and wallets
- Trying different reward apps and shopping extensions
The selection is actually very good, and many offers pay $5 to $25 or more depending on what's involved.
Just note that many offers have specific requirements you must meet to get paid.
For example, gaming offers like playing Raid Shadow Legend require opening two Sacred Shards within 30 days of signing up, which requires putting some time into the game.
This offer pays $17.66, but not every offer is quick money since there is work involved.
Offers can also take a few days to clear and process. Once ZoomBucks approves your tasks, you see points appear in your account.
4. Invite Friends To ZoomBucks
The ZoomBucks referral program pays you up to 250 points for inviting new users to the platform. You only earn points once your referral earns 1,000 points.
Also note that different countries pay different amounts of points.
For example, people you refer from “tier 1” countries like Canada and the United States pay you 250 points when they earn 1,000 points.
In contrast, tier 2 countries, which is most of Europe and some of Asia, pay 150 points. Tier 3 countries, which is most of the world, pay 25 points.
One ZoomBucks point is worth about $0.001, so this referral bonus pays a maximum of $0.25 per person you refer, which is very low.
In contrast, beermoney websites like MyPoints pay you $5 for signing up and completing offers and shopping extensions like Rakuten pay you $30.
5. Watch Videos
If you want to earn passive income, this next ZoomBucks feature is for you!
Under its “Watch” section, ZoomBucks pays you to watch ads from video providers Hideout TV and Lootably.
These are two of the most well-known pay-to-watch-video portals out there, and it's a very easy way to earn points passively. Personally, I love when GPT sites have this feature since this brings me back to my phone farming days.
You only earn a few points for every couple of videos and ads you watch, so it's not going to pay you a lot.
But for an easy passive side hustle, it's the ZoomBucks feature you should use.
6. Read Paid Emails
Once you sign up for ZoomBucks, it occasionally sends you emails with additional paid offers you can complete.
This is basically another way to promote its Offer Wall. But if you want to maximize your earnings, keep an eye on your inbox for emails.
Is ZoomBucks Legit?
ZoomBucks is a legit survey site, and it has a 4.7 star rating on Trustpilot with over 500 reviews. There is payment proof online, and ZoomBucks is run by a reputable company that also runs other survey sites like GrabPoints.
That said, ZoomBucks can only pay a few dollars per hour at most. And it's not as popular as some other survey sites out there like Branded Surveys or Prolific.
Ultimately, you can use ZoomBucks to make a bit of extra money in your spare time. And you can cash out at just $5, which is pretty reasonable.
However, don't expect to quit your day job anytime soon with this website.
ZoomBucks Reward Options
ZoomBucks has numerous rewards, including free gift cards, PayPal money, and prepaid Visa cards.
Some popular gift card rewards ZoomBucks offers include:
- Amazon
- Best Buy
- Burger King
- Free Steam games
- Old Navy
- Robux
- Free Google Play credit
Gift cards and PayPal rewards start at $5. You need 4,080 ZoomBucks points to redeem a $5 gift card and 5,150 points to redeem a $5 PayPal reward.
This means one ZoomBucks point is worth around $0.001, which isn't very much.
But keep in mind, surveys can pay several hundred or even thousands of ZoomBucks points depending on how long the survey is.
Similarly, completing offers can pay you a fast $10 to $20 in points.
How Much Does ZoomBucks Pay?
Most ZoomBucks offers pay under a dollar or a few bucks at most. And the offers that pay $5 to $10+ usually require grinding a new mobile game or signing up for some type of service.
Ultimately, this means ZoomBucks doesn't pay very much, which is the case for most micro task websites.
Realistically, you can probably make $2 to $5 per hour maximum by using ZoomBucks.
You can make more money if you grind out paid offers, but if you just answer surveys and watch ads, expect a few dollars per hour.
Is ZoomBucks Safe?
ZoomBucks is a safe website to use and is SSL secured. You can also sign up through a secure connection with Gmail or Facebook, and you get to create your own password for the website. When I tested out the site, I didn't think it was a scam, and it was very easy to use.
Just be sure that you're comfortable sharing personal information if you try to complete any sponsored offers ZoomBucks offers.
Offers often require entering your email and name. And some of them might require entering a credit card if you have to sign up for a free trial. I tend to avoid these offers and recommend that you do as well.
Pros & Cons
It wouldn't be an honest ZoomBucks review without covering some of the pros and cons of this survey site.
Pros:
- Variety of ways to earn points
- Reputable survey panel and offer wall partners
- Some lucrative offer wall offers
- PayPal cash is a reward option
- Available worldwide
Cons:
- Low earning potential
- The ZoomBucks referral program doesn't pay very much
- Many offers require putting in time to reach in-game accomplishments if you want to get paid
Other ZoomBucks Reviews
After testing out ZoomBucks, I think it's a robust survey platform with plenty of ways to earn. However, it's not my personal favorite, and I think the survey rates are a bit low.
But another great way to tell if ZoomBucks is legit and worth using is to see what other users are saying about this survey site.
Now unfortunately, other ZoomBucks reviews are hard to find because the site took a break for four years and only came back in 2018. But this ZoomBucks review from YouTuber Garrett covers how the platform works and his experience with it.
In his review, Garrett states that ZoomBucks is legit and will pay you for answering surveys and completing offers.
But he also states that it doesn't pay very much, so it's just a source of beermoney and not something that lets you quit your day job.
So, if you want to make $3,000 fast or some crazy amount, skip using ZoomBucks.
If you want some easy beermoney, you can try using this website alongside other survey platforms.
The Best ZoomBucks Alternatives
ZoomBucks is a popular survey website, but in my experience, it's not the highest paying one out there. And some survey sites also let you cash out a little bit quicker.
Some of the best websites like ZoomBucks include:
- Branded Surveys: A favorite survey site of mine that has a low $5 cash out requirement.
- Swagbucks: This platform pays you to answer questions, shop online, play trivia, surf the web, and more.
- GrabPoints: Like ZoomBucks, GrabPoints is an effective way to earn free money in your spare time.
- Survey Junkie: A leading survey website that pays you with gift cards and PayPal cash.
- MyPoints: Answer surveys, shop online, and earn a $10 sign up bonus with this website.
- InboxDollars: A U.S. survey site with decent payout rates and a $5 sign-up bonus.
- Kashkick: Another U.S. survey website that also lets you play games for real money.
You can also watch my video on some of my favorite paid survey sites if you want even more alternatives to ZoomBucks. However, this is just scratching the surface.
Gaming apps that pay cash like Cash Giraffe or other gaming reward apps like Mistplay also let you earn rewards in your spare time by playing games.
And, of course, other side hustles have a way higher income potential than using websites like ZoomBucks.
For example, side job apps like DoorDash and Instacart easily pay more than minimum wage, and you can make much steadier money than using any paid survey website.

Is ZoomBucks A Scam?

Final Thoughts
I hope our ZoomBucks review helps you decide if this paid survey website is worth using or not.
At the end of the day, I thought ZoomBucks was easy to use and legit after I tested it out. And it's very similar to other paid survey sites.
Personally, I still think options like Swagbucks and Pinecone Research are higher-paying alternatives. But ZoomBucks is still a reliable way to make a bit of extra money in your spare time.
If you want to make $1,000 a day or something, this isn't the right website to use. But for an easy source of gift cards and PayPal money, ZoomBucks is legit and viable.
