Is TryProducts.com Legit Or A Scam? (Honest Review!)
Companies want feedback from their customers all the time to help them improve their products. And this is why there's a booming free samples industry that lets you enjoy free products in exchange for your opinion.
And if you live in the United States, TryProducts.com is one popular site you can try.
It's an easy way to score samples and freebies in your spare time. And after signing up for the site, my TryProducts review is covering how it works and what you should expect before signing up.
Quick Summary:
- Free to sign up for and available in the United States
- Sends its members a variety of free products in exchange for their feedback
- Mostly sends snacks, drinks, beauty products, and personal care items
- Also sends vitamins, supplements, and home essentials
Is TryProducts Legit?
TryProducts is legit and lets you enjoy free samples from over 500 brands in exchange for your feedback. It's a leading company in the space and has a 4.5 star rating on Trustpilot with over 200 reviews from happy members.
I was also able to sign up for TryProducts pretty easily, and the site is very easy to use.
However, this isn't a site for making money directly. Rather, it's a site for getting free samples, snacks, and products and you're rarely compensated with free money or gift cards.
How Does TryProducts Work?
TryProducts lets you sign up for free if you're 18 or older and live in the United States. All you need to do is enter your name and email to become a member, and you don't need to pay or enter credit card information either.
Once you confirm your email address, you enter your actual address so TryProducts knows where to send samples and goodies.
From there, a series of questions pop up. Most of these questions relate to different categories of products and if you're interested in them or not. You also get questions about the types of brands you like and dislike.
These are all simple yes/no questions that help determine what kind of products you can provide helpful feedback about. As you provide answers, you may be prompted right there and then to try out certain products.
For instance, when I said “no” to beauty products, I was immediately asked if I wanted to try out some Charlotte Tilbury samples. But I also got recommendations for snacks and cleaning products from brands I like.
Examples of other questions I got include:
- Do you enjoy trying new beauty products?
- Do you want to save more money?
- How many hours a day do you spend online?
- Do you use shopping extensions when you shop online?
- Have you ever participated in a clinical trial?
- When was the last time you participated in a product test?
- Do you like to get free stuff in the mail?
Once you complete your profile, you get a prompt to follow TryProducts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. This is important! These social accounts are the fastest and easiest ways to snag a product before they’re out of free samples. You simply see a picture of the products that are being given away, read a little bit about it in the caption, and click on the link to snag yours if you're interested.
What Kind Of Free Products Can You Get?
TryProducts has partnered with over 500 brands in the United States. Some of the most popular samples and products you can receive include items like:
- Beauty products like moisturizers or cleansers
- Chocolate
- Cleaning products
- Coffees and tea
- Drinks
- Gum
- Lip balm
- Personal care products
- Seasonal treats and goods
- Snack foods
- Toothpaste and dental products
- Vitamins and supplements
As you can see in the screenshot above, you can get all sorts of products. And sample sizes are often decent or come with a few servings, so several people in your household can try them.
I haven't qualified for any free products yet. But I'm keeping an eye out on my inbox to see if I can snag something nice.
After you receive your products and try them out, you provide some feedback. This is how you help brands improve their products and continue to receive more product tester gigs.

The Best Alternatives To Try
If you live in the United States and love a good deal or freebie, then TryProducts is worth trying. But you can also stack it with several reward apps and websites to earn even more.
Some of my favorite options include:
- Product Report Card
- P&G Good Everyday
- Kashkick
- PINCHme
- Freecash
- Daily Goodie Box
- Amazon Vine
- Pinecone Research
None of these websites are full-time jobs. But if you stack a few of them, there's no reason you can't enjoy a steady stream of products and freebies sent right to your door.
Is TryProducts A Scam?
No, TryProdcuts isn't a scam. However (as mentioned) this is not really a site for making money online. Instead, it's a site for trying out free products in exchange for your opinions.
Some testers might also get frustrated by the amount of information they need to share or the types of products that are available. However, TryProducts has plenty of positive reviews and works with over 500 brands across the United States. Ultimately, you should have realistic expectations about this site and the kinds of goodies it sends out.

Is TryProducts Worth It?
TryProducts is worth using if you want an easy way to get free products every month from a wide variety of brands.
However, it really depends on your expectations. You’re not going to feed your family with free samples, because they’re mostly snack foods. You might be able to cross some toiletries off your shopping list, because there are a lot of soaps, shampoos, and creams.
Additionally, you have to answer some online surveys after testing out products. This is technically work. But if the thought of trying out new products is fun to you, TryProducts is totally worth it. Some sample sizes are also sufficient enough to provide a little extra for others.
Thanks for reading, and happy sampling!
