15+ Ways To Make $1 to $100+ Per Day – Realistic Side Hustle Ideas
When it comes to side hustling or finding ways to make extra money, I think it is incredibly important to set goals.
I started WebMonkey to see if I could make money by blogging while helping other people, and along the way I have realized that setting tangible benchmarks and goals is ultimately what keeps you moving in the right direction.
It doesn't matter if a goal is small or grand in scope: setting your sights on a target and making gradual improvements to get there is what counts.
Anyway, the other day I browsing Quora and I came across the question: “How can I make at least $1 a day online?”
This particular thread was filled with a plethora of solid answers, and there were even more related thread suggestions with similar questions about how to make various amounts of money in a single day.
So, after doing a lot of reading and thinking back on some of my own money making endeavors, I have decided to write a post that will cover:
- How to make $1 a day.
- How to make $10 fast.
- How to make $50 a day.
- How to make $100+ a day.
Let's get to it!

How to Make $1 a Day
Earning $1 a day might seem like a trivial goal, but it is important to remember that income standards are incredibly different around the world.
According to the United Nations Development Program, nearly half of the world live on less than $2.50 a day, and more than 1.3 billion live in conditions of extreme poverty and on less than $1.25 a day.
So, while figuring out how to make $1 a day might seem trivial to you depending on where you live, an extra dollar a day can make the world of a difference for someone else.
Here are a few ideas on how to make $1 a day.
Using GPT Websites & Answering Surveys
I am not a fan of answering surveys or using active GPT websites to make money online, and the only reason other bloggers promote these websites is to earn $5 referral bonuses.
However, if you are looking for a way to make $1 a day, these sorts of websites are as straightforward as it gets.
Users from around the world can micro task sites by answering surveys, watching videos, downloading mobile apps, and completing various offers.
These websites don't pay well, but some have $1 payout thresholds and most users will be able to make at least $1 a day by completing tasks.
You can watch me struggle with answering surveys for money in one of my recent YouTube videos (I told you the pay was bad!)

Amazon MTurk
Amazon Mechanical Turk is a platform that allows users to earn money by completing various tasks that companies or individuals are willing to pay for.
Tasks that are posted on MTurk are the kinds of jobs that artificial intelligence and computers cannot automate. This might include tasks like identifying objects in photos, verifying if people work at a certain business, transcribing work, or working on data tasks like de-duplication.
MTurk requires users to complete a few hundred tasks before some higher paying ones become available, and ultimately, working full-time on MTurk is a tough way to make a living.
Some people have micro task sites and make decent money at it, but it certainly takes a lot of time and practice.
However, if you are looking for a way to make $1 a day, starting out with Amazon MTurk is definitely not a bad option.
Reddit r/SlaveLabor
r/SlaveLabor is a community on Reddit with the slogan “for people who think minimum wage is too high.'
Slave Labor is also exactly what it sounds like. Users in this community can complete a variety of tasks for some spare change or a few dollars, and the tasks also suit a variety of skillsets.
On Slave Labor, you can find transcription jobs, data work, phone call requests, graphic design gigs, and a bunch of other weird requests for various amounts of money.
Some tasks are simple, like calling someone with a message for $0.50, while other gigs are longer term and might require several hours of work for some amount of pay.
If you're skilled with Excel, programming, or data analysis you can probably make decent money on Slave Labor. Other tasks generally pay less, but Slave Labor does provide quick access to an informal marketplace where you can quickly make money.
Ultimately, I think Reddit Slave Labor is one of the fastest ways to make $1 a day.
Play Video Games with PlayVig
I've mentioned PlayVig before in my post on micro task sites, and this is the perfect platform for gamers to earn additional income with.
Making money with PlayVig is simple. Just play PlayVig supported video games and earn tokens for watching advertisements in between your matches (PlayVig splits the advertisement revenue with players).
PlayVig tokens can be exchanges for PayPal cash, and PlayVig supports some of the most popular games like Hearthstone, League of Legends, Fortnite, and PUBG!
If you are looking to make at least $1 a day and already play video games, I recommend checking out PlayVig!

Rent out a Parking Spot for Money
The going rate for a parking spot in my town is about $40-$50 a month, so this is potentially already off to a better start than just making $1 a day.
Parking spots can be a hot commodity, and if you have access to a driveway or designated parking spot that you do not need, it makes absolutely 0 sense to not monetize your asset.
In a major city, you could probably earn upwards of $100 a month just by renting out a parking space, and this is a fairly passive source of income to boot!
If you want to rent out a parking spot to make money, I suggest using local classifieds, Facebook groups, and platforms like Parking Panda or Spot Hero!
Start a Blog to Make Money
I started blogging in January 2018, and by March, I made about $60 in blogging related income (so this is already better than earning $1 a day).
As I started to learn about blogging, I quickly realized that to effectively make money with a blog, you only need a few things: time commitment, a decent command of writing, and some basic SEO skills. Everything else falls into place in time.
Plus, as you can see by my blogging results after 1 year, your blogging income can grow fairly steadily and surpass the simple $1 a day mark.
Just note: this money making idea is going to take a lot of upfront work and some investment for WordPress hosting and a domain name!
Also note: you can write for free on Medium and make money for your writing there as well!

How to Make $10 a Day
If you want to step your side hustle game up from making $1 a day to earning $10, here are a few ideas to help you get started.
Website & Game Testing
Website or game testing is a form of quality assurance work, and there are plenty of companies that are willing to pay users to test and review their user interface and performance.
From my own experience in QA, I can tell you this: quality assurance work is incredibly monotonous. You are looking for bugs, trying to break systems, and generally doing the same set of testing tasks for hours on end.
However, website and game testing work is a fast and simple way to make $10 a day or more, if you know where to look and are comfortable with using a computer or smartphone.
Some of the best websites that regularly hire testers include:
- PlaytestCloud (If you qualify for a test run, a 15 minute sessions usually pays around $9USD).
- Indeed.com has plenty of job offers.
- Glassdoor.
- Usertesting.
- UserFeel.
You can definitely earn more than $10 a day by using multiple website/game testing platforms, but 1-2 test sessions is all you need if your goal is to make $10 a day!
Reddit r/ForHire
Ah, another lovely Reddit thread has made it to the list, fantastic!
While r/SlaveLabor might have some very low paying gigs, r/ForHire is a marketplace that offers some higher paying opportunities.
On r/ForeHire, the most popular job postings generally include:
- Content writing work.
- Coding projects.
- Website design.
- Graphic design.
- Cold calling tasks.
The best part about Reddit ForHire is that gig postings require hourly rate and budget information, and a lot of the work pays well ($15-$20/hour rates are not uncommon).
Granted, some of the work requires specific skillsets, but I definitely suggest checking out this community if you are looking for a way to make $1o a day.
Walking Dogs & Pet Sitting with Rover:
Rover is a popular side hustle app where users can make money for walking or watching dogs on behalf of busy pet owners.
If you live in a major metropolitan area, you will probably have a decent enough inventory of dog owners who are willing to pay for regular dog sitting or walking sessions.
As you can see from this thread on Rover’s forum, these walkers/sitters are making $600-$1,000 a month, and while this is basically a part-time job for these Rover hustlers, earning $10 a day with Rover would probably require just a single dog walking session.
If you notice a lot of dogs with pent-up energy in your neighborhood, you might be able to make $10 a day or more just by taking some friendly dogs out for a stroll!

Uber or Food Delivery on the Way Home
Another great way to easily make $10 a day is to hustle on the way to or from your 9-5 job.
Once again, if you live in a major city, this is pretty straightforward. Simply signup to drive for Uber, Lyft, or a variety of food delivery jobs like DoorDash and take 20 minutes out of your day to drop off a passenger or deliver dinner.
If you get lucky, you might even strike surge price times and make more than $10 from one single trip. As a bonus, you might even find that the passenger or food item you are delivering aren’t too far from your own home.

Pinterest Affiliate Marketing
There are plenty of Pinterest gurus out there who promise that you can make $10,000 dollars a month working as a Pinterest VA or with affiliate marketing.
Don't believe this bullshit, and please, don't buy any courses that promise to teach you some get rich quick ideology.
However, while these guides generally exaggerate how easy it is to make money on Pinterest, if you grow a decent following on Pinterest and consistently work on the platform, make money on Pinterest
I made a few dollars every so often back in 2015 when you were able to flood Pinterest with Amazon Affiliate links, but times have changed. Pinterest is now more strict on what affiliate networks they allow, and it is generally good practice to disclose your pins as being affiliated with a company.
If you join some high quality affiliate networks like Share A Sale, FlexOffers, or direct partnerships with various companies, I wouldn't be surprised if you can work your way up to make $10 a day with some serious work.
Additionally, as you learn more about affiliate marketing, you could even experiment with creating your own landing pages/sales funnels, or work on make money on Pinterest to promote affiliate offers with content marketing!
Flip Items on eBay
I've never experimented with flipping items, but if you have a knack for finding good buys at local thrift shops or on local classifieds, flipping is definitely a great way to make extra money.
Just take a look at this monthly eBay flipping report from Millionair Dojo – Nathan made over $700 in profit from his flips in the month of November which is more than $20 of profit a day!
I imagine flipping inevitably takes a lot of time, dedication, and some tough lessons to learn, and you will probably have your share of epic wins and complete duds. However, there are some useful eBay flipping tips you can use to get started with this side hustle.
How to Make $50-$100 a Day
If you're looking to really make some considerable, steady income from your side hustles, this list of ideas is a great way to make $50-$100 a day.
Get Started with Gig Economy Jobs
I've talked about gig economy jobs a lot on WebMonkey, and I even have a mega post on the best gig economy jobs that breaks down dozens of platforms people can use to make money every day.
Gig jobs are great because they can be done on your own schedule, and there are a plethora of platforms for side hustlers with different skill sets.
Some of the most realistic job you can use to make $50-$100 a day include:
- Driving with Uber or Lyft during surge price times.

Freelancing Work
Freelance writing was one of my favorite college side hustles, and I have even written a freelance writing guide that breaks down some useful ideas about how to secure contracts.
However, there are plenty of freelancing opportunities in fields besides writing, and there are plenty of marketplaces where you can find work.
Personally, my go-to websites have always been Indeed, Reddit, or local job boards, but you can also find work on:
- UpWork (having an approved account on here is nice to have in your back pocket!)
- Fiverr.
- Freelancer.
- iFreelance.
- PeoplePerHour.
Tutor English Online
Teaching English online can provide a steady, easy way to make at least $50 a day if you are accepted into a tutoring platform.
Many online tutoring platforms don't require their tutors to hold a degree, and the other platforms that have degree requirements accept Bachelor degrees in any field.
Additionally, some of the top online tutoring companies pay wages between $15-$22/hour + bonuses, so you could hit $50 a day with about 2 classroom sessions.
As long as you are willing to work very early or late hours to cater to the Chinese timezone (where a majority of ESl students on tutoring platforms are located), this could be the perfect side hustle for you!
