10+ Best Ways To Make $200 A Day (Ultimate Guide!)
So, you're wondering how to make $200 a day and want a few realistic ideas that can help you achieve this goal.
This type of income goal is a fantastic one to strive for. After all, $200 per day is about $6,000 per month in income, which is some serious cash!
I've been experimenting with online and offline side hustles for years at this point. And over this period of time, I've tried numerous ideas that can generate this amount of money, or even more, each day.
So in this post, I'm covering some realistic ways to make $200 a day that you can use. Many of them are ones I've tried, while others are how some of my friends and other people make this sort of income.
How To Make $200 A Day
1. Online Freelancing
In my opinion, selling your skills online as a freelancer is one of the most realistic ways to make $200 a day. And I think this because it's something I've personally accomplished and have been doing for years at this point.
Back in 2020, I was working a day job at a digital marketing agency and freelance writing on the side.
My day job was okay, but I also wanted to travel and increase my earning potential. So, I quit my job, got a one-way ticket to Colombia, and went all-in on writing and blogging for the next few years.
Within six months, I was making $200 a day online or even more from a handful of freelance writing clients. Since then, online freelancing has more than doubled my income, and it's let me live abroad in places like Dubai, Mexico, and South Africa.
The point is that the potential to make money online as a freelancer is immense. And writing is just one type of skill you can sell. Other popular freelancing fields include:
- Accounting
- Coding
- Digital marketing
- Graphic design
- Social media management
- SEO
- Transcription
- Web design
- Video editing
- Virtual assistant work
In my experience and from other people I know, freelance gigs can easily pay $50 to $100+ per hour or have very lucrative rates per-project. This means you can make 200 dollars a day with just a few clients and enough steady work.
I made a YouTube video about some of the best freelance websites you can use to find your first gigs.
Personally, I turned to my professional network, a few remote job sites, and also found jobs on Upwork and FlexJobs. There's no single “best” method to getting started, but you have to put yourself out there to find clients!
2. Deliver Food
Another realistic way to earn $200 a day is to deliver food for money. And this is one of my favorite methods if you want a hustle that's flexible and easy to start.
There are also so many food and grocery delivery gigs you can use, including:
- Uber Eats: One of the most popular food delivery gigs in the entire world.
- DoorDash: The leading food delivery app in North America.
- Instacart: This gig lets you get paid to shop for people's groceries.
- Shipt: One of the leading gigs like Instacart that also pays $16 per hour at minimum.
- Grubhub: Another popular delivery gig like Uber Eats.
And making 200 dollars a day is certainly possible with these gigs if you put in enough effort.
Just take a look at the YouTube video above from DoorDash driver Nuggs. In his video, he shares how he earns over $200 in one day from about 10 hours of Dashing, so it's certainly possible.
Of course, like any gig economy job, you have to factor in fuel and vehicle depreciation. But this is definitely a straightforward side hustle that can make $200 per day.
3. Make Money Blogging
If you like the idea of making money with your laptop from anywhere in the world, blogging is another way to make $200 a day online you can consider.
And like freelance writing, I know this idea is legit because it's something I'm doing with WebMonkey. In fact, the blog now makes upwards of $1,000 a day thanks to Mediavine ads, affiliate income, and occasional sponsorships.
Now, blogging isn't fast money whatsoever. In fact, it's taken me almost five years of blogging to reach this type of income level, so it's not going to make you rich overnight.
But if you enjoy content creation and writing, blogging is a very realistic way to make $200 a day. And it's also a highly scalable business that you can sell down the line to exit.
Plus, there are practically endless blogging niches you can start out with. And many niches lend themselves well to selling products, online coaching, and sponsorship deals.
Again, don't choose this method if you need $200 fast. But for a scalable business model, blogging is one of my favorite recommendations.
4. Use Microtask & Survey Websites
If you want to make $200 a day and earn money online as a beginner, then microtask websites and paid survey sites are worth considering.
These types of sites pay you for completing short online tasks or for sharing your opinion. You can then get paid with free PayPal cash, gift cards, or a variety of rewards.
Some leading microtask and survey sites that I've tested out over the years include:
- Branded Surveys: My favorite survey site that lets you cash out at only $5.
- Freecash: My new favorite gpt site with 100+ earning options.
- Clickworker: A globally-friendly microtask site that lets you cash out via PayPal.
- PlaytestCloud: This site lets you test new apps and games for money as a user tester.
- Swagbucks: A popular rewards platform that lets you make money by playing games, answering surveys, downloading apps, and shopping.
- Appen: Another leading microtask site that has jobs like transcription, data entry, and more.
- Survey Junkie: One of my favorite survey sites with PayPal cash and gift card rewards.
- Amazon MTurk: One final microtask site you can use to earn cash.
I also made a YouTube video that covers some of the best get paid to sites you can use if you want to get started.
Granted, earning 200 dollars a day is going to take some serious grinding. But I've met some people who make most of their income with sites like Amazon MTurk, Branded Surveys, and a host of other microtask websites.
5. Start An Ecommerce Business
Like blogging, starting your own ecommerce business is a great digital marketing side hustle that can make 200 dollars a day. And it's also something that's highly scalable and will teach you incredibly valuable skills.
I've launched a few online businesses over the years. The first attempt was a dropshipping business I ran on Shopify, although this only got one sale.
For the second, I tried making money with memes by selling ugly mugs on an Etsy print on demand store. This also got a sale but was ultimately a failure.
However, so many people find success with online businesses, selling everything from digital stickers to expensive furniture sets. There's really endless possibilities you can explore.
Just take a look at one Etsy shop idea I found below. This shop sells highly seasonal products, like a Saint Patrick's Day shirt, and has over 21,000 sales!
This shop has made tens of thousands of dollars. And again, it's a very low-risk business idea since you can use print on demand to get started.
The point is that ecommerce has an immense amount of potential. And the cost to getting started is often under $100 if you go the print on demand route and don't need to pay for inventory and materials upfront.

6. Invest
While this idea to make $200 a day requires a lot of capital, investing is a reliable way to make additional income on the side without having to lift a finger.
Personally, investing is something I'm working on these days to diversify my income. And the great part is that you have so many ways you can make your money work for you, including:
- Investing in dividend stocks and ETFs (you can use a commission-free broker like M1)
- Investing in bonds and CDs
- Investing in income-generating rental properties with platforms like Arrived
- Using a high-yield savings account like Current to earn easy passive income (this also comes with a $50 sign up bonus)
- Alternative asset investing in assets like collectibles, artwork, precious metals, and wine
- Using micro-investing apps like Acorns to consistently invest
There's no single right answer for this passive side hustle. And you should always speak to a financial professional if you need specific advice and do your own research.
Personally, I'm focusing on dividend-producing assets right now and want to branch into real estate later. But there are so many opportunities you can consider.

7. Become A Pet Sitter
Do you like working with animals? If so, another realistic way to make $200 per day is to start a pet sitting business.
When people need to go out of town or are busy with work, they're willing to pay good money to have someone look after their pets. And for pets like dogs, even a simple dog walking gig for enough clients can be a pretty lucrative cash gig.
And the great news is that, thanks to the gig economy, you don't have to do the hard work of going out and finding clients all on your own.
With platforms like Rover, you can find dog walking and sitting clients in your area. And the best part is that you set your rates, availability, and the types of animals you work with.
As you can see from the Rover walkers above, they're charging $18 to $38 per walk. And you can charge even more for dog sitting and overnight sitting gigs.
It can take a while to get steady clients, and you have to price yourself competitively. But working with animals is definitely a lucrative side hustle, as long as you feel comfortable with pets.

8. Find Cash Gigs With Steady
Steady is a free gig economy app that helps you find new side hustle opportunities that match your areas. And some of the gigs it connects people with can certainly make 200 dollars a day or more.
To get started, all you have to do is download the Steady app, which is available in the United States.
From there, you answer a short questionnaire about your income goals and skills. Steady then matches you with relevant side hustles to help you get there.
What I like about Steady is that it connects you with relevant gigs and jobs based on what interests you. Some examples of opportunities you might find include:
- Delivery gigs like Uber Eats or Instacart
- Online survey sites
- Sign up bonus apps
- Part-time jobs
- Other gig economy positions
According to its website, the average Steady members earns an additional $5,500 per year. And you can always try out the app to find a few gigs to see how effective it is.
You can also use other odd job apps, like Instawork or Wonolo, to find more money-making opportunities.
9. Land A New Job
While it sounds simple, sometimes, the most obvious answers are the most realistic. And this is why getting a new job might be the best path to earning $200 a day.
The fact is, if your current day job isn't paying you enough, you're spending at least 8 hours per day where you could be earning more. So, working on improving this hourly earning rate is an excellent starting point.
This is what I did when I quit my digital marketing job and dove into freelancing, and it certainly paid off.
There are also plenty of jobs that pay $200 a day or more, like:
- Programmer
- Nurse
- Teacher
- Editor
- Bartender
- Landscaper
- MRI tech
A lot of jobs don't need a degree either, or just need some short certification program, so there's lots of opportunity to boost your income.
If you need a helping hand in getting started, I think updating your resume is a great place to start. This guide from Coursera provides a nice overview of tips to spruce up your resume that you can use.
10. Deliver Packages For Money
If you're still wondering how to make $200 a day, you can always try delivering packages for money. This is similar to delivering food or groceries for people, except you're delivering packages, not food items.
There are also plenty of apps that pay you to drive and deliver things that you can apply for:
- Amazon Flex: A leading delivery gig that pays drivers $18 to $25 to deliver Amazon packages.
- GoShare: Lets you make money with a cargo van, box truck, or pickup truck by delivering packages for people.
- Roadie: Another popular delivery gig that's similar to GoShare.
- Gopuff: This job like Amazon Flex pays you for delivering snacks, food, and small packages to people.
- ParaWorks: A newer package delivery gig that can pay upwards of $25 per hour.
- Walmart Spark: A newer package delivery hustle where you deliver groceries and Walmart orders.
- CitizenShipper: One of the highest-paying delivery apps that offers long-distance package delivery gigs.
As an independent contractor, you have to keep track of your income and expenses with these gigs. But the hourly pay can certainly be quite high, letting you earn $200 in a day of work or even less.
11. Start A Reselling Business
Flipping stuff for profit is one of the oldest side hustles in the book. And it's also an excellent idea to earn 200 dollars a day that you can try if you feel a bit entrepreneurial.
The idea is pretty simple: buy popular products at a discount and then try to resell them online or in-person for a profit.
Oftentimes, resellers purchase popular products that are on sale from stores like Kohl's, Macy's, and Walmart. They then resell them online on marketplaces like Amazon FBA.
This is a very competitive but lucrative option to get into reselling. But it can work. In fact, I interviewed a couple doing $1 million in annual Amazon FBA sales, and they've only grown since then.
But Amazon FBA isn't the only way to make money with retail arbitrage. And it might be easier to start out with local selling websites and apps to find people in your city to sell to.
I've done this in the past and sold guitars, furniture, and clothing on the Facebook Marketplace. And you can also use apps like Mercari or eBay to start selling locally and online.
And if these options fail, something like a simple garage sale or even pawning stuff for cash can at least get you started in the resale space so you learn the ropes.
12. Create Passive Income Streams
If you're like me, you love the idea of passive income. After all, who doesn't want to make money on autopilot, building wealth in the background while they take on other tasks?
Now, making 200 bucks a day with just passive income isn't easy. And you might need some starting capital or assets to begin.
However, I think you can at least put a dent in the daily $200 goal, and, in time, reach it.
Some of my favorite passive income ideas include:
- Investing in income-generating real estate with companies like Fundrise
- Renting out assets for money on marketplaces like Fat Llama
- Starting online businesses and outsourcing the work (this is what I'm working on)
- Renting out spare storage space with Neighbor
- Renting out a spare room with platforms like Airbnb
- Renting out your car with a platform like Turo or your truck with Fetch
This video from Airbnb hosts Michael and Kristen shares how much money they make with Airbnb over a 6 month period. But the bottom line is that making $200 a day is possible if you stack enough of these idea.
Of course, it can take time to gradually build up these income streams. But even something like Neighbor, or some free passive income apps, can get you started down this path.
And as you earn income, you can reinvest some or all of your earnings to develop more passive income. Talk about a beautiful cycle!

13. Make Money On Social Media
If you can build an online audience, you can monetize it. This is true for blogging, but also for social media platforms like Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and even LinkedIn.
The rise of the modern “influencer” means that brands are willing to pay creators for promoting their products. And since growing an online following is free, provided you post valuable content and make people's lives better, I believe anyone can get started.
This is also something I started testing in 2020 when I launched my YouTube channel. Since then, it's passed 17,000 subscribers, and it now makes $50 a day in mostly passive income.
Making money on YouTube didn't happen overnight. But it goes to show that building an audience lets you monetize it fairly easily.
YouTube is pretty straightforward since you can just enable ads. But the concept is the same for other forms of social media marketing.
14. Local Cash Gigs
Another simple method to get $200 a day is to do local cash gigs in your spare time.
This is one way my friends and I made money during school. I would shovel driveways of snow to make some quick money. And my friend did landscaping work in summer to do the same thing.
Some popular cash gigs you can complete include:
- Babysitting
- Cleaning
- Junk removal
- Gutter cleaning
- Handyman work
- Manual labor jobs
- Moving help
- Painting
- Personal training
- Pet grooming
- Pool cleaning
- Window washing
In my experience, you can find gigs on marketplaces like Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace all the time. Going door-to-door to sell your services can also work.

15. Tutor Online
One final idea you can use to make $200 a day is to try online tutoring jobs. And if you like working with kids or helping people learn, this is an excellent, fun side hustle to try.
For the longest time, online ESL tutoring was the best way to make money in this space. However, legislative changes in China have made it much tougher to find ESL work, at least with the most popular companies of the past.
Options like QKids are still worth exploring if you want to teach English online. And you can also become an online tutor with companies like BookNook if you're a U.S. citizen and teach students English and Math.
Both of these platforms can pay over $20 per hour depending on your experience level. And you can also branch out into private tutoring that's online or in-person and probably earn more.
It takes a lot of clients to consistently earn $200 a day with tutoring. However, you can also branch out into other educational side hustles like selling notes or doing homework for money to boost your earnings.
Tips For Making $200 A Day
Now that you know some realistic ways to make $200 a day online and offline, here are a few tips that I've found helpful over the years that you can use to reach this income goal:
- Play To Your Strengths: For me, writing and blogging are how I make most of my income because this is what I'm best at. I think it's important to pick hustles and jobs that play to your skills and passions so you have the best chance for success.
- Try Several Hustles: Trying a few hustles that are in you wheelhouse is a good way to learn what you like and to also see which gigs pay the best. So, don't be afraid to deliver for Uber Eats, start a blog, or try freelancing. Over time, you'll learn what works and what doesn't.
- Set Trackable Goals: To make 200 dollars a day, I think it's critical to set trackable progress goals so you hold yourself accountable. For example, work on reaching $100 every day first with hustles, then $150, and build your way up to the $200 goal.

Final Thoughts
I hope my guide on how to make $200 a day provides some actionable steps for you to take on this income goal. I know it's possible, especially since I've used several methods on this list to do just that.
Again, it can take time to find the right hustle that works for your schedule and skills. But, the important thing is to be consistent and to not give up.
Even if you start out by making $200 a month in extra income, then $500, and then $1,000; it's these sorts of incremental increases that really pay off over time.
