Is Testerup Legit Or A Scam? – My Honest Review
Testerup is a legit rewards platform that lets you get paid to play games. It lets you try different apps and games to earn money, and it actually claims that you can earn $120 per test offer and make thousands of dollars.
But how much does Testerup pay? And does it even work?
After testing out the platform, my Testerup review is sharing my experience, how this platform works, and if it's a scam or worthwhile app.
Key Takeaways:
- Testerup pays you to download and play different games
- You can download Testerup for Android or iOS or use its desktop version
- The site advertises earning $120+ per offer
- Many offers require spending real money or a lot of time to complete
- You can cash out with PayPal cash after earning $70
Is Testerup Legit?
Testerup is legit and pays players for trying out new mobile and PC games and completing various milestones in those games. It also has a 4.3 star rating on Trustpilot with over 10,000 reviews and is highly rated on the app store as well.
When I signed up for Testerup, I was happy with the variety of offers in my account. And my review above shows how the platform works and the types of offers in my account.
The website claims that you can earn $120 per test. This isn't always the case, but there are some pretty high-paying offers. However, a lot of offers require spending money or making deposits, so keep this in mind.
Some of the missions are simpler, like signing up for different survey sites or trying out subscriptions. Overall, Testerup is a fun way to snag some free money, and it's similar to platforms like Freecash or apps like WorldWinner.
My main complaint about Testerup is that it has a $70 cash out requirement. So, you have to complete several offers or one very high-paying offer before you get paid. But the payout per offer is competitive.

What Is Testerup?
Testerup is a free online user testing platform that lets you earn PayPal money for trying new apps and games. According to its website, you can earn $120 per test, and new users get over 50 offers to test when they first sign up, which total more than $800!
I linked a video above that shares how the platform works and my experience with using it. And I have to say, Testerup is a pretty unique platform.
Most app testing gigs, such as Usertesting and PlaytestCloud only pay $5 to $10 per test. And gaming reward apps like Mistplay and Rewarded Play also have pretty low hourly earning rates.
So when I saw that Testerup advertises $120 per test, I was definitely curious. And the site also claims that it has over 3 million members and is Germany's largest platform for paid online jobs.
All-in-all, Testerup seems like a very lucrative way to make money online. But to be clear, this isn't an online job and is just a fun way for gamers to make some side cash.
How Does Testerup Work?
I signed up for Testerup to learn how the platform works for this review. Overall, it's very simple to use and only takes four steps:
- Try out new games
- Complete missions
- Get paid
1. Sign Up
Signing up for Testerup is completely free. You can create an account with your email address or by connecting your Facebook account.
It took me about 30 seconds to create an account via Facebook. You can sign up on Testerup's website, but to actually make money with the app, you have to download it for Android or iOS.
2. Test New Games
The entire process of making money with Testerup involves downloading new games and completing certain tasks. As you complete tasks, you earn money, and each offer has a maximum amount you can earn if you complete every task.
For example, one of my Testerup offers involves downloading and playing Raid Shadow Legend. It says I can earn $42 in total, but to do so, I have to reach level 40 within 30 days of downloading the game.
Here are a few other Testerup offers I have in my account:
- Family Island – Earn up to $275.
- Dice Dreams – Earn up to $250.
- Scrabble GO – Earn up to $30.
- Coin Master – Earn up to $100.
- Merge Inn – Earn up to $65.
Each one of these offers has some requirement, like reaching a certain in-game level, achievement, or even spending money on premium content.
This is super similar to sites like Freecash and MyFreeApp. And on the surface, Testerup looks like a fun side hustle that pays you to test and play games.
However, it's worth noting the highest-paying offers can take a bit of work to complete.
Just take my $42 Raid Shadow Legends offer as an example. Reaching level 40 in 30 days without spending money on power ups is basically impossible, so this offer likely requires spending your own money or a lot of time in-game grinding out levels.
A lot of offers are like this. Swagbucks games or websites like Kashkick do the same thing. So, just keep the requirements in mind before signing up.
It's also worth noting there are some free offers or shorter tasks. But these tasks often pay $0.50 to $5 at most.
3. Become A Premium Tester
If you start completing Testerup offers, you slowly level up your overall account. And some offers are actually “Premium Missions” that help you become a Premium tester.
Perks of being a Premium tester include:
- Getting more jobs
- Getting higher-paying jobs
- Getting exclusive jobs
- Earning bonus points and freebies
It takes five premium missions to become a Premium tester. I like that Testerup is rewarding its more active members with this kind of program.
Testerup Rewards & Cashing Out
According to Testerup's website, you can cash out your earnings for free PayPal money and get paid within 24 hours. And there's plenty of Testerup payment proof online and positive reviews on Trustpilot.
The fact the website pays actual cash is a plus. However, Testerup's minimum cash out amount is $70, which is incredibly high for the world of gpt sites.
For context, paid survey sites like Branded Surveys only require $5 to cash out. And game apps that pay like Mistplay or Rewarded Play have similar $5 rewards.
This high cash out requirement also means you have to complete several offers or one very lucrative offer to cash out. But this is possible if you put in some effort.
Is Testerup A Scam?
Testerup isn't a scam and pays users for downloading new games and apps and completing certain milestones. And the company does pay quickly through PayPal. However, this isn't a full-time job opportunity and is just a fun side hustle.
The $70 cash out minimum is my main complaint about Testerup. But I like the variety of games and the fact Testerup caters to both Android gamers and iOS gamers.
How Much Does Testerup Pay?
Many Testerup offers range from $20 to $100 or more, but these offers usually require spending your own money to achieve the requirements. As for the free offers, they usually pay $2 to $10 or so and involve signing up for various survey sites, passive income apps, and other reward apps.
For most people, I think making $20 to $150 a month with this platform is realistic, provided you put in some effort and complete a couple of offers.

Pros & Cons
Pros:
- Wide variety of games and offers to try
- Free to sign up
- Available in multiple countries
- Available for Android and iOS
- Many high-paying offers
- Wide variety of game genres
Cons:
- Some offers require spending money to achieve, although Testerup also provides cash back for many games
- Some users report offers don't track properly so you don't get paid – but this happens with all gaming reward platforms so you can contact support if you have issues
- A $70 cash out requirement is high for the industry
Other Testerup Reviews
I signed up and looked around Testerup for the purpose of this review. I tried some free missions, but I didn't feel like spending money on deposit games, so I left it at that.
But one great way to tell if Testerup is legit or not is to see what other people have to say. And, thankfully, there are plenty of Testerup reviews on Reddit and our own YouTube channel.
Here's what some other Testerup reviews are saying:
- quirkygamer9072 says: “I mean… I got $87 playing the match masters offer️. That sealed the deal for me. It was a fun game, and the money was sent to my PayPal. It wasn’t hard, just took some time but like, why play and not get paid when you could play the same amount of time and make even a little money, even if it technically isn’t minimum wage, you don’t lose anything…”
- alexsenpai420 says: “i have. i cashed out at $70 and deleted it, i honestly feel like it’s a waste of time and the games are designed to make it extremely hard to complete goals.”
- Xiigritsku says: “I've been doing okay with it so far and I enjoy playing games especially mobile games. I just cashed out 225 and got the notification 3/26 that it transferred.”
- Ecstatic-Ad-5155 says: “It took me about a week to get to 70$. I played lilys garden and Yahtzee and got 82$. Cashed out today.”
- Miss-LH says: “I earned $132 last week. Cashed out and got the funds in my PayPal account the same day.”
As you can see, some Testerup reviews are positive, and one viewer of our YouTube channel says they earned $87 from completing one single Match Masters offer. Other reviews also say they cashed out and got paid on time.
Some negative reviews come from users who say their gameplay wasn't tracked properly, so they never got credit for completing missions. But I would say online reviews are mostly positive, with negative reviews usually relating to tracking issues.
The Best Testerup Alternatives
Testerup is a popular side hustle for gamers. And if you don't mind spending money on deposit-based games, I think it has some pretty decent offers.

Does Testerup Really Pay?
Testerup does pay real money and lets you cash out with PayPal if you earn $70. There's payment proof online and plenty of testimonials from users who report cashing out and getting paid on time. However, the cash out requirement is on the high side.
Ultimately, Testerup is a viable way to play mobile games for money. But don't expect to get rich from this site since it's just a part-time hustle.
Is Testerup Real Or Fake?
Testerup is a real website that lets you earn PayPal cash. The company operates out of Germany and was recently acquired by exmox, a performance marketing agency that focuses on gaming. This is a real business that aims to connect mobile gamers looking to earn extra cash to new and exciting games.
In my opinion, there are lots of online side hustles worth trying too. But if you love mobile gaming, you can try out Testerup to see what you think.
Is There Customer Support?
You can submit a request/ticket through Testerup's website if you encounter difficulties with your account or with offers tracking. There's also an FAQ database for players to consult for help to common issues players have.
Final Thoughts
I hope my Testerup review helps you understand how this app works and what its earning potential really is.
I was excited when I saw $120+ per test advertisements for Testerup. And I like that it does have high-paying offers and lots of different game genres. That said, many offers require making deposits, so keep this in mind.
There are also plenty of beginner-friendly ways to make money online. You can use survey sites like Branded Surveys or try a variety of paid gaming apps. And even options like freelancing or blogging are on the table.
And, of course, there are so many microtask sites and user testing gigs out there that you can explore alongside Testerup.
