Is Qmee Legit Or A Scam? (My Honest Review!)
If you want to earn money online, using gpt sites is one of the most common ways you can get started.
I've been using these types of websites ever since college. And in my experience, the top sites are a decent way to make a bit of extra cash on the side in your spare time.
However, some websites can take forever to cash out with. And that's why Qmee, a popular get-paid-to website with no minimum cash out requirement, is so enticing.
But is Qmee legit? And how much does this rewards website actually pay?
I signed up for Qmee and tested it out. And this Qmee review is covering how the website works, its earning potential, and some reviews from other users.

What Is Qmee?
Qmee is a london-based market research company that lets its users make money online by completing paid surveys, shopping online, searching the web, and other short tasks.
The platform is free to sign up for, and you have to be 16 or older to join. And with millions of members, Qmee is one of the more popular platforms in the space.
Overall, Qmee is pretty similar to other reward and survey sites like Branded Surveys and InboxDollars. But the main attraction is that it lets you cash out via PayPal instantly, so you don't need to reach a certain earning target first.
This instant cash-out feature, plus Qmee's variety of earning methods and easy-to-use mobile apps, help make the app popular.
But let's take a look at how Qmee works and if it's legit.
Is Qmee Legit?
Yes, Qmee is legit, and the website lets you earn PayPal cash and gift cards by completing short online tasks. It also has a 4.3 star rating on Trustpilot, and Qmee was very easy to use when I tested it out.
The company also claims that it's paid out over $45 million to its users since its founding. And there's plenty of Qmee payment proof online that verifies this is a legitimate online side hustle.
That said, this isn't a very high-paying site, which is the main complaint you hear from people. So, use this site to make a fast $5, but don't expect to earn a full-time income or anything close to that.
How Does Qmee Work?
I signed up for Qmee to test out the platform for this review, and overall, the site works in seven simple steps:
- Complete surveys for money
- Play games
- Shop online
- Search the web
- Invite people to join
- Cash out
Let's take a look at how each of these steps works in a bit more detail!
1. Sign Up
Qmee is free to sign up for, and you have to be 16 or older to join, making it a popular survey site for teens.
I signed up for Qmee on its desktop version, but it also has a nifty mobile app for both Android and iOS. If you prefer side hustle apps to making money with your laptop, this is great news.
At this time, Qmee is only available in the following countries:
- United States
- United Kingdom
- Canada
- Australia
- France
- Germany
Once you sign up, you complete a short tutorial to learn how to use the site. Then, you're ready to explore all of Qmee's earning options.
2. Answer Qmee Surveys
The main way to make money with Qmee is to answer surveys.
You have to unlock Qmee surveys before you can access the survey dashboard. This involves completing a short questionnaire about your age, household income, education, and demographics to help Qmee match you with more surveys.
Once you unlock surveys, available ones appear on your dashboard. On my Qmee account, surveys pay anywhere from $0.38 to $2.11 and take about 15 to 30 minutes on average to complete.
You have to take a pre-qualification screener for most surveys where you answer a few (unpaid) questions to see if you are a match. This is common, but it also ends up disqualifying you from a lot of surveys.
I tried taking five surveys on Qmee and got disqualified in every screener, so this side hustle isn't as easy as it seems.
Additionally, survey sites like Pinecone Research and Survey Junkie can have higher-paying surveys than what I've seen in my Qmee account, so keep this in mind.
3. Play Games
If you want to play video games for money, Qmee has you covered.
Under its “Gaming” tab, you can find dozens of cash games and offers that pay you to download and play games. Some of the ones on my dashboard include:
- Word City: Earn up to $15.28.
- Mafia City: Earn up to $370.82.
- Axe Champ: Earn up to $13.33.
- Gold and Goblins: Earn up to $16.15.
- Solitaire Cash: Earn up to $17.46.
I like that Qmee has a mix of Android and iPhone games for money. And some of the gaming offers pay over $100, which is very lucrative.
However, a lot of offers require completing steps to earn certain amounts of money. And some of these steps are unrealistic to achieve without spending your own money or sinking dozens of hours into a game.
For example, my $370 Mafia City offer has seven steps, with most steps requiring a lot of play-time and spending some of your own cash.
Because of this catch, I prefer using gaming apps that pay that don't have spending requirements, like Cash Giraffe and Money Well, but that's just me.
4. Shop Online
Qmee has a shopping portal that pays you to shop at hundreds of partners. This is similar to reward apps like Rakuten and Ibotta, and it's a nice way to get paid to shop at your favorite brands.
Some of Qmee's shopping offers and deals include retailers like:
- AT&T
- Booking.com
- Gap
- HP
- Target
- Under Armor
- Walmart
Many cash back offers pay 1% to 5% cash back. You can also find flat cash-back deals in the $2.50 to $5 range, as well as percent-off deals, which I like.
And, you can download the Qmee extension to compare prices when you shop online and to earn cash back automatically when you shop online.
The Qmee extension's ability to compare prices and find deals is a selling point. However, I prefer using shopping extensions like Rakuten for earning cash back since it pays much more in my experience.
And for online deals and price comparisons, I stick with Capital One Shopping since it automatically applies available coupon codes at checkout.
Note: Capital One Shopping compensates us when you sign up with the above link.
5. Search The Web
Spend lots of time online? Qmee can actually pay you for your efforts with rewards just for searching the web.
You have to download Qmee's extension to earn with searches, and there's no guarantee you get paid for using the web. In fact, a few dollars per year is the most you should expect from this feature.
In my experience, sites like InboxDollars and MyPoints have better pay-to-search features than Qmee and pay more often. But this is still a nice Qmee hack to take advantage of.
6. Invite Friends
Like many survey programs, you can earn money by referring your friends to Qmee.
You receive a $1 referral bonus for each person you invite. This is a nice way to get free money, although I wish Qmee had a sign-up bonus for people you invite to join and paid more.
Just note that Qmee's referral program isn't available to new accounts; it activates automatically once you've been with the platform for a while.
7. Cash Out
Qmee lets you cash out via PayPal or Venmo at just $0.01, making it one of the only sites that pays you instantly. You can also cash out with various gift cards after earning $5 to retailers like:
- Amazon
- AMC
- Apple
- Bath & Body Works
- DoorDash
- Dunkin
- Google Play
- Macy's
- Starbucks
- Target
- Walmart
- Uber Eats
I love that Qmee offers instant cash payments, and this is one of the platform's main selling points.
Note that you have to connect and verify your PayPal account to cash out with Qmee, even if you want a gift card. It's also worth noting that you can donate your earnings to various charities if you prefer.
How Much Does Qmee Pay?
How much you make with Qmee depends on how many offers you can complete and how much time you spend. But in my experience, actually completing offers is difficult because of disqualifications and requirements, so you can only earn a few dollars per hour at most.
Like most gpt websites, you aren’t going to get rich or be able to retire by using Qmee. However, you can make free money in your spare time when you’re not doing anything else.
Survey disqualification rates are high, which is my main Qmee complaint. But I like that you can get free PayPal money quickly once you actually complete an offer.
Pros & Cons
Pros:
- Qmee is free to join and use
- No minimum cash out requirement
- Available on smartphones and web browser
- Multiple payment options available including gift cards and PayPal cash
- Decent shopping rewards
- Available in several countries
Cons:
- Not sign up bonus
- High survey disqualification rate
- Low earning potential
- PayPal account verification is required for gift card redemption
- Some users complain about slow customer service
Other Qmee Reviews
After signing up for Qmee and trying it out, I think it's legitimate and a decent way to get money quickly. However, my endless survey disqualifications were a pretty major downside.
However, one of the best ways to tell if a side hustle is legit or not is to see what other users have to say.
What do Qmee users think of this site? Here is what they had to say. So, here's what some other Qmee reviews are saying on Reddit for more context:
- EmpressBee says: “I used to do qmee. I've never had a problem with them paying. It just takes a while to get a good amount.”
- floydfan54 says: “I've been with Qmee for approx 2 years now. I'd do a few surveys now and then. But the last 2 weeks I've been doing a a lot. I just check my earnings for September and I made $30.98 so far this month.”
- slytherinsquirrel says: “It takes a long time to get much money since the amounts you get per search are so low. (Typically I can get around 10 cents a week, but I have no idea what is average) But I like that you can withdraw at any amount instead of waiting to reach some sort o f minimum cashout threshold.”
- vrimee says: “I have used Qmee a couple of years ago and got paid from them for 2-3 times. However, it takes a long time to reach the payout.”
As you can see, most Qmee reviews are positive, and people really like that you can cash out instantly, which is hard to find these days.
However, people also admit that Qmee has a very low earning potential, and tasks like searches don't pay very much and are somewhat random.

This Qmee review from YouTuber Ted Gets Bread also shares how Qmee works and what to expect in terms of earning.
Ted shares how to make money by completing surveys and offers with Qmee, and his payment proof shows that the site is legit. However, he also notes it's not a very high-paying hustle or online job by any means.
The Best Qmee Alternatives
After testing out Qmee, I think it's a good app or website to have in your back pocket since you can answer occasional surveys and cash out instantly.
However, I think there are plenty of sites and apps like Qmee that are also higher-paying, including:
- Branded Surveys: My favorite survey site with a low $5 cash out minimum.
- AttaPoll: Another popular survey app with a $2.50 minimum cash out requirement.
- Quickrewards: A U.S. and Canadian rewards website with no minimum cash out requirement, just like Qmee.
- Swagbucks: A versatile platform that pays you to answer surveys, watch ads, shop online, download apps, and more.
- Kashkick: A newer U.S. website that lets you answer surveys and play games for PayPal cash.
- Mistplay: A popular Android gaming app that pays you.
I also made a video sharing some of my favorite money-making apps you can use instead of Qmee.
Again, don't expect to make $500 a day or anything even close to that amount with these sites. But for some steady beermoney, these sites and apps get the job done.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Qmee A Scam?
No, Qmee isn't a scam, and the website pays its users on time. However, Qmee's earning potential is very low, and frequent survey disqualifications are the main complaint users have about this platform.
You can use Qmee to make $10 fast every month or so without much effort. But don't expect to earn a full-time income with this site.
Is Qmee Safe?
Yes, Qmee is safe to use, and you don't have to provide any sensitive financial or personal information to sign up. However, you have to be comfortable sharing your data with Qmee and answering survey questions to earn. And you have to verify and connect your PayPal account to use the site.
I suggest reading Qmee's privacy policy to learn more about how your data is managed.
Final Thoughts
I hope my Qmee review helps you understand how the site works, its earning potential, and if it's worth signing up for.
I really love the fact that Qmee lets you cash out with real money instantly. And the variety of earning options is also competitive with bigger players like Swagbucks.
That said, a lot of Qmee offers don't credit or disqualify you. And the gaming offers are also too good to be true for the most part, at least in my opinion.
Ultimately, Qmee is a nice way to earn money online for beginners. So, add it to your routine of GPT sites if you want fast payouts.
