Fruit is “called” just like Bingo games. Once a fruit is called, you have a few seconds to find two of those fruits on the board and to clear them before another fruit is called.

Fruits don't have to be next to each other in order to be cleared. You just need to be able to connect the fruits with three uninterrupted lines. More lines than that, and you can’t pop the pair. Also, the lines must not be interrupted by other fruits. This makes the Fruit Frenzy gameplay a little different than similar-looking match-3 puzzle games, where you switch pieces around the board in order to line of pairs or triplets.

Helpful hint 🍉 fruits on the edge of the board can be connected by lines that move outside the board. This means if there are other fruits between them, you can pop them with uninterrupted lines if they can move around the board.

Each pair of matched fruit yields 300 points. If you match the fruit right away, you can get an additional 400 points. Clearing a row or column gives you 300 points, so you can potentially win up to 4,800 additional points per game, if you can clear the board before time runs out.

Speaking of clearing the board, you’ll earn an additional 1,000 points for doing so. If you clear the board and time is still left on the clock, you’ll earn 100 points for every second. For example, with 5 seconds left, you’d earn an additional 500 points.

Finally, Fruit Frenzy also lets you use power-ups to clear the board even faster. Every time you make a match, you fill up the power-up bar and get a power-up. Here are some of the different power-ups you can play.

Fruit Dumper: This prevents a certain type of fruit from being called again. This is useful to prevent fruits that you've completely cleared from being called and wasting time.
Fruit Bomb: This power-up pauses the timer and allows you to explode any pair, even if the potential “lines” between them would be interrupted by other fruit. This is a good one to use if there are certain fruit pairs that would otherwise be impossible to clear.
Triple Fruit Bomb: This lets you pick three pairs of fruit. This is the same as the fruit bomb, only three times better.

For lowball cash games (like $1 prize pools), what you see is what you get; winning the game pays you a $1 cash prize. However, there's a bit of a twist with Fruit Frenzy games and how you earn.

Most cash matches can be “standard” or “spin.” With the standard option, there is a fixed prize. For instance, a $6 entry fee for two people will see one of them walking away with $10 (and the “house” raking in $2, which is reasonable).

However, that same game, when chosen as a “spin” essentially becomes a tournament. As you move through the tournament, there are opportunities to “spin” for bonuses that get added to the prize pool. This is how a $6 entry fee can result in (up to) a $40 prize.
