Is Battle Bingo Legit Or A Scam? (My Honest Review!)
These days, paid Bingo apps are a dime a dozen. It seems like the app store is just full of these types of apps, all of them claiming you can make quick money just by playing Bingo on your phone.
Battle Bingo, a free app from Acerena Inc, is a perfect example. The app claims you can win real cash prizes, and even score $10,000 plus in prizes.
But is Battle Bingo legit? And is this app actually a viable side hustle, or just a waste of time?
I downloaded the app to find out. And my Battle Bingo review is covering exactly how this app works, its pros and cons, and how to decide if it's worth downloading.
Update: Battle Bingo has rebranded to Bingo Golden but the app is the exact same.

What Is Bingo Golden?
Battle Bingo, which has now rebranded as Bingo Golden, is a skill-based Bingo money game that's available for free on the iOS store. It lets you compete in competitive Bingo games against other players for cash prizes. Players can also win extra prizes for placing at the top of the monthly leaderboards.
Acerena Inc is a popular paid gaming app developer, and it also has other popular titles like Solitaire King. And, the app is very similar to other paid gaming apps like Bingo Cash, Bingo Day, and Bingo King. If you've ever used a competitive Bingo app, this app is going to feel very familiar.
And with over 24,000 ratings and a 4.8 average star rating on the Apple app store, Battle Bingo is very popular. But is it a legit way to make money online? Let's find out!
Is Battle Bingo Legit?
Battle Bingo is legit, and the app has an average rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars with 24,000+ reviews on the app store. However, the app makes it seem very easy to make money, which is a bit misleading. In reality, you have to risk your own money for the chance to win, so it's not a guaranteed way to make money.
This is my main problem with apps like Battle Bingo. There's a serious chance you lose more money than you make, and even if you win, you don't win that much.
There are so many gpt apps and sites out there that let you make money without risking your own. Platforms like Branded Surveys and Swagbucks are perfect examples. So, while Battle Bingo is legit, I think it's a bit misleading and somewhat risky to use.
How Does Battle Bingo Work?
Battle Bingo is a very simple app that's similar to lots of other real money apps. All-in-all, it takes four steps to use:
- Download the app
- Play practice games
- Play in cash tournaments
- Cash out
Here's how each of these steps works in a bit more detail. Just note that again, the app is now called Bingo Golden!
1. Download & Sign Up
Battle Bingo is an iOS gaming app that's completely free. You can play on iPhones, iPads, and iPod touch devices that have iOs 12.0 or later installed.
Unfortunately, it's not available on Android devices at this time. There is another (and different) app named Battle Bingo on the Google Play store, but it's not the same as the iOS app.
Also note that because this app lets you spend money to enter competitive tournaments, it's only available to users 17 years of age and older.
2. Play Practice Games
Once you download Battle Bingo and create an account, the app encourages you to walk through a tutorial on the game and to play some practice games to learn skills you will need to be successful.
As for the gameplay itself, Battle Bingo is basically like regular Bingo, just with some twists.
You have to connect five numbers in a row on a card to complete Bingo. But you can also use various power-ups during the game to get extra points or time.
If you win practice games, you earn virtual currency. This can help you rank higher on the monthly leaderboard but really isn't worth anything of monetary value.
This is the main downside of apps like Battle Bingo. If you want to actually make money with this app, you need to enter its paid competitive tournaments.
3. Play Cash Tournaments
Battle Bingo hosts competitive Bingo tournaments where players face off in one-versus-one matches to see who's the champion.
These cash tournaments have a small entry fee which is usually a few dollars. If you win, you get your entry fee back plus some extra winnings. If you lose, your entry fee is gone and you have nothing to show for it.
Battle Bingo says you're playing against other real players who are a similar skill level. Players also have identical Bingo cards, which is why the game is skill-based since using power ups and being fast is how you win.
Some of the most important power-ups you can use include:
- Free Dauber: Get a free daub to mark off any open number to reach Bingo faster.
- Magic Ball: Use this power up to get you closer to Bingo by picking from four numbers.
- Triple Time: Triple the score that you earn.
- Extra Time: Get additional play time to finish your game.
As you win games, you also place higher on the monthly leaderboards. Battle Bingo awards the top players with extra cash prizes each month, so it's an incentive to play more.
This is the same system apps like Bingo Bling, Bingo Raider, and Bingo Dash use, but it's unlikely you can make it to the top without spending a lot.
Just remember: unlike a lot of apps that pay you to play games, Battle Bingo requires risking your own money on entry fees for the chance to earn.
4. Cash Out
Once you win a tournament, cash deposits in your account. Battle Bingo lets you cash out with Cash App or PayPal or return money to your credit card.
The fact you can earn PayPal money is a plus since you're not limited to free gift cards like with some reward apps.
How much you earn depends on how much a cash tournament costs to enter and how well you do. But you can expect to earn a few dollars extra than your entry fee for a lot of the smaller tournaments.
Some Battle Bingo users say that it takes a little while to get your first payment. To make things as quick as possible, use the same email for your account as your PayPal or Cash App email.
Is Battle Bingo A Scam?
Battle Bingo isn't a scam, and the app pays real money to tournament winners. However, the app is pretty misleading with its advertising. It's extremely difficult to win though without investing your own money, and there's a serious risk that you lose more than you earn with this app.
Again, there are tons of legit online jobs and online side hustles out there that don't involve risking money.
If you like playing Bingo, you can try out Battle Bingo. But be aware that its cash tournaments have some risk.
Pros & Cons
Pros:
- You can play free practice games
- There's the chance to earn free PayPal money and other cash prizes
Cons:
- There's no Android money-making app
- You have to risk your money paying entry fees for cash tournaments
- It's impossible to know if games are rigged or not
Other Battle Bingo Reviews
One of the best ways to tell if an app is legit or not is to see what other real users have to say.
Thankfully, there are plenty of other Battle Bingo reviews on the app store. Here's what some other players have to say:
- kaydenkyler says: “I’ve deposited over 30$ into this game and yes you do win some money but it’s just not fair the way they play it. I gained a good amount and then lost it all because it refused to let me even win one game after so many.”
- Megan6zeus says: “I love the fact that you don’t have to spend any money to play! If you want to deposit money to play for larger jackpots you can but if you’re just looking to have some fun and win a little cash you can do that without having to spend any money because they actually give you a cash log in bonus once a week that you can use to win more cash.”
- Veganliza says: “I don’t know why more people don’t see what I see: this game is totally rigged! I say it from personal experience of someone who is extremely good at Bingo and have been very successful on several other game apps, such as Bingo Cash and Bingo Tour. There are practically no rewards, a few gems the most you can ever get, and minuscule cash rewards once a week.”
As you can see, players report winning some cash with Battle Bingo. But some players also think that the game is rigged and that it becomes impossible to keep winning after a certain point.
One user points out how she just sticks with the free games and saves up enough points to eventually compete for cash games.
This is a strategy, although it takes forever to earn enough cash bonuses and rewards if you don't make a deposit.
Overall, you can use this app to get free money. But most people probably lose money in the long run or don't make much.
The Best Battle Bingo Alternatives
If you like playing Bingo, you can give Battle Bingo a try. But I don't think this app is particularly lucrative.
Thankfully, there are plenty of ways to make money with your phone you can use instead. Some of my favorite options include:
- Bubble Cash: Compete in cash games against other players in an arcade bubble-popping game.
- Blackout Bingo: One of the leading real money Bingo apps.
- Pool Payday: Win cash prizes by playing games of pool on your phone.
- Branded Surveys: One of my favorite paid survey platforms that has PayPal and gift card rewards.
- Swagbucks: A fun way to make money by answering surveys, downloading apps, shopping online, and playing paid trivia.
- Kashkick: Another survey and gaming platform with PayPal rewards.
- Survey Junkie: This popular survey site pays you for your opinion and lets you cash out at only $5.
Just note that these ideas won't make you a ton of money. They're fun side hustle ideas, but any app like Battle Bingo isn't a full-time job opportunity.

Reviews whether or not Battle Bingo pays are mixed, with many users expressing frustration with not being able to win or cash out the amounts that they won.

Final Thoughts
I hope this Battle Bingo / Bingo Golden review helps you understand the pros, cons, and risks of using this app.
Yes, it's a fun app if you enjoy Bingo. And if you get lucky or have some skill, you can earn some extra cash in your spare time with this app.
However, I think the risks outweigh the cons. And there are plenty of ways to make money online as a beginner that you can try that don't involve spending any money.
In any case, I hope you can decide if this app is worth the download or not now that you know its earning potential.
