Is Cointiply Real Or Fake? (My Honest Review!)
Since the days of phone farming, I've always been interested in the world of free Bitcoin faucets. After all, cryptocurrency faucets have quite a bit in common with things like passive income apps: you run them daily and over time, you can potentially accumulate a pretty chunk of change.
Now, one popular platform I've seen all over the web lately is Cointiply.
This Bitcoin faucet claims to have paid out over $700,000 since 2018, and it's definitely gotten some positive press. The question is: is Cointiply legit?
Well, I tested out the platform to find out. And in this review, I'm sharing how it all works, the earning potential, and if Cointiply is worth using or not.

What Is Cointiply?
Cointiply is a mixture of a free Bitcoin faucet and GPT, or get-paid-to website. If you've ever used websites like Grindabuck or Swagbucks before, that's essentially what Cointiply is, except it comes with a crypto twist.
With Cointiply, you get a gpt site mixed in with a Bitcoin faucet. Bitcoin faucets work by letting you win a random amount of Sitoshi coins, or fractions of a Bitcoin, at certain intervals.
In Cointiply's case, you can earn free Sitoshi coins every hour by rolling a random number to determine how many coins you get.
While you wait for your faucet to replenish to roll again, you can make use of Cointiply's other earning options, which is the GPT-side of the platform.
So, all in all, Cointiply is a mixture between popular survey platforms like Prolific and Scrambly but with some crypto additions.
The question is, how else can you earn money and how much can you make with Cointiply?
Is Cointiply Legit?
Yes, Cointiply is legit, and the website lets you earn free cash and crypto by completing short online tasks. It also has plenty of positive reviews and payment proof online, and I found that the site is very easy to use.
When I signed up for Cointiply, the platform was quite beginner-friendly. However, most of the tasks don't pay very many coins.
Realistically, you can probably earn a few dollars per hour with this site at most. And most of the negative reviews complain that the earning potential is very low.
Other survey sites like Branded Surveys or ideas like freelancing online can pay much more, so I'd classify Cointiply as a B-tier online money-making idea.
How Does Cointiply Work?
I signed up for Cointiply to test the website for this review. Overall, the platform is pretty simple despite the number of earning options it has.
Once you create your account, you're ready to start completing tasks and using the free Bitcoin faucet every hour. I was able to sign up for Cointiply in a matter of minutes, and that part was very straightforward since you just enter your email.
Now: let's examine all of the different ways you can make money with Cointiply and what you should expect for your earnings.
1. Use The Cointiply Bitcoin Faucet
If you don't plan on using Cointiply's free Bitcoin faucet, there's really no point in using the website since this is the main differentiating factor between Cointiply and other GPT websites,
That being said, the faucet looks pretty neat!
Every hour, you roll a number to determine how many coins you earn. I rolled it a few times while testing the site for this review, and sure enough, I was able to earn a few coins each time for my efforts.
Most rolls result in under 50 coins, which is about a cent, so this isn't a get-rich-quick operation.
Here's how the rolls break down:
- Roll 1 to 69,999: earn 22 coins
- Roll 70,000 to 89,999: earn 36 coins
- Roll 90,000 to 96,999: earn 70 coins
- Roll 97,000 to 98,999: earn 130 coins
- Roll 99,000 to 99,998: earn 280 coins
However, you can get lucky and earn extra coins, or even hit the jackpot by rolling 99,999 and get over 100,000 coins in a single roll.
Plus, there's also a Cointiplier that multiplies the coins you earn from your roll to help you earn more (this multiplier changes monthly and can get up to 2X your roll).
Of course, this is hardly plausible, so the faucet really acts as a way to keep you engaged with the website and to keep logging in.
2. Answer Surveys
Another way to make money with Cointiply is to answer paid surveys.
In my experience, most Cointiply surveys pay between $0.15 to $1. This is pretty low in the world of paid survey apps and sites, so I suggest sticking with other survey platforms, like Survey Junkie or Ipsos iSay instead.
That said, paid surveys are one of the more consistent earners alongside the Bitcoin faucet.
3. Watch Videos
Another way to make money with Cointiply and earn passive income is to watch videos and ads on its website.
This beermoney method has been around since the days of phone farming, and the concept is pretty simple. Basically, companies like Hideout.TV pay you for watching ads and videos that also run brief advertisements once in a while.
You can theoretically turn this into a passive-earner by running videos in a separate tab and occasionally checking in to prove you're still watching.
I tried this out on Cointiply, but honestly, you're barely going to earn anything. Overall, video portals don't pay much, but it lets you make money on autopilot, which is a selling point.
4. Play Games
Cointiply is similar to apps that pay you to play games and also lets you earn coins for tying out new games. However, the game selection is pretty lackluster (unless you love playing bubble shooter, or whatever).
Additionally, most games only pay a few coins for completing different levels, which is pennies for your time.
If you're a fan of gaming, I suggest checking out this post on how to make money playing video games. I also made a video on some of the best cash games you can check out for some better Cointiply alternatives.
You can also consider trying Mistplay or Gamehag to earn free gift cards for playing better video games.
5. Click On Ads
Another way you can make money with Cointiply is to click on ads. Under the “view PTC ads” bar, you find a list of links you can click on to earn coins.
You have to click links and view the landing page for a specific amount of time, and you barely earn any coins for your effort.
This is one massive form of advertisement fraud, and it's also not worth the time in my opinion.
6. Use The Offerwall
Like most GPT websites, Cointiply also has an “offer wall” where you can complete specific offers to earn more coins.
If you're not a fan of surveys, this is definitely the highest-paying section of Cointiply you can explore.
Cointiply has a range of popular companies GPT websites partner with, including Offer Toro, Adscend Media, and a variety of other partners.
Examples of offers you can complete for money include:
- Downloading apps
- Signing up for free trials
- Entering your email for sweepstakes or newsletters
- Buying something and earning cashback
I'd honestly stick with other reward apps or websites like Rakuten if you want to shop and earn cashback rewards…these websites and apps simply pay more than Cointiply and are worth your time.
7. Use The Cointiply Multiplier
Another method you can use to earn coins is to try out the Multiplier. The multiplier lets you wager a minimum of 10 coins to multiply their value or potentially lose their value
The game works by having you guess to find red gems (which multiply your coins). If you hit a grey gem, it's game over!
This is just a form of gambling, and I don't recommend spending your time or coins on this unless you're fed up with Cointiply and want to try it before ditching the platform.
8. Refer Friends
Like most GPT websites, Cointiply lets you refer friends to the platform and incentivizes you for doing so.
If you refer someone, you get 25% of their faucet earnings and 10% of anything else they earn for as long as they're a user.
The 10% referral bonus is actually better than most GPT websites, although your referral doesn't earn a bonus unfortunately.
9. Chat & Join The Rain Pool
Another weird way to make money with Cointiply is to be an active member and to earn free coins for helping other people.
Cointiply has a rain pool which slowly collects coins over time. If you talk in chat and provide value to the community, you're given a specific percentage of the rain pool – so you earn a percent of the total pot when it ‘rains.'
As you can see, I qualified for the upcoming rain and have 0.05% of the pot…nothing to write home about.
According to Cointiply, “Quality posts increase your share, useless posts decrease your share, and earning more Coins increases your share.”
So, spamming won't earn you more coins, but typing out a few messages and being friendly can help you earn more.
10. Cointiply Promo Codes
Another easy way to earn coins is to find Cointiply promo codes online and to enter them for a bonus.
The best way to find coins is to follow Cointiply on social media since that is where they often announce promo codes. You might also find that people share them in the chat if you're lucky!
11. Cointipoints & Item Pods
When you earn coins on Cointiply, you also earn Cointipoints, which can be used to buy powerups that help you earn more coins.
This isn't exactly intuitive when you sign up, but you can view your Cointipoint total under your Cointivity profile:
Whenever you earn coins, you earn 10% of the value in additional Cointipoints. You can then shop for power ups that boost your coin earnings on a permanent or temporary basis.
Note that you need to be at least level 7 to reach your first unlockable, which can take some time.
However, in the long run, buying multiplier boosts is the best way to increase your hourly earnings on Cointiply.
12. Earn Loyalty Bonuses
The final method for making money with Cointiply is to be a regular user.
Occasionally, Cointiply runs loyalty bonuses where you get a boost on faucet rolls for consecutive logins. For me, my bonus is 1% extra per day.
This can add up slowly if you keep at Cointiply, but the bonus resets if you miss a day!
Cointiply Rewards & Cashing Out
If you want to cash out with Cointiply, you can withdraw your earnings in Bitcoin or Dogecoin. You need to enter a Bitcoin or DOGE coin wallet code to your account to give Cointiply an address to send your coins.
It takes 50,000 coins to cash out a $5 BTC reward and 30,000 coins to cash out a $3 DOGE reward.
Unfortunately, Cointiply doesn't let you redeem coins for free PayPal money if you want cash instead of crypto.
How Much Does Cointiply Pay?
Cointiply pays around $1 to $3 worth of coins per hour. But earning this amount of coins requires answering surveys non-stop and also assumes you don't get disqualified from many surveys. Most of the other earning options barely pay anything unless you get very lucky.
In fact, most tasks on Cointiply like using the free Bitcoin Faucet, watching ads, or clicking PTC links earn under 50 coins…so $0.005.
This isn't worth your time, and you'd be lucky to even make $20 a day with these options.
If you look at the Survey Wall or Offer Wall, you'll see a lot of survey companies advertising that they pay 1,000 to 25,000 coins per survey you complete.
So, on paper, you're looking at up to $2.50 for completing surveys on Cointiply according to what's advertised. You can also find higher paying download or free trial offers that pay $5 to $10 or more in coins
However, I want to stress that between getting disqualified and things randomly not crediting, your hourly earnings definitely take a hit.
If there's one thing using survey websites has taught me, it's that you're probably looking at $1 to $2 per hour MAX on Cointiply.
If you want some more serious money making ideas, I definitely suggest checking out gig economy apps for a real side hustle.
How Much Are Cointiply Coins Worth?
One Cointiply coin is worth $0.0001 USD. So, in other words, 10,000 coins is $1 USD. When I tested out Cointiply, I was able to earn 71 coins after a few faucet rolls and by watching some ads for a bit.
Keep in mind, you can cash out through Bitcoin or Dogecoin, so the value of these coins can fluctuate and alter your earnings slightly.
Pros & Cons
Pros:
- Global access
- Wide variety of earning options
- Low cashout requirements
- You can get lucky with the Bitcoin faucet
- Lets you cash out with crypto
- You can make money with your phone with Cointiply's app
Cons:
- Very low hourly earnings
- No PayPal cash rewards
- A lack of transparent online reviews
- A lack of free gift cards
Other Cointiply Reviews
I signed up for Cointiply to test out the website. And in my opinion, it's not a great online side hustle since most tasks barely pay. And I dislike that there's no PayPal cash out option.
However, it's always useful to read about other people's experiences. And, there are plenty of Cointiply reviews on websites like Reddit where people share their feedback about the site:
- sam_laroche says: “It is not a scam, I have used it but the rewards are not great. If you're able to complete long and painful surveys you can earn a little more. You can play some games to earn a lot more but it takes some time.”
- PME_your_skinny_legs: “I think it's legit, but you'd earn like $0.90 a month. So not worth the risk even if it's not a scam.”
- Zerox10 says: “I’m pretty sure CoinBureau mentioned it on a video about ways to earn free crypto so most likely it will be legit. Don’t expect to get life changing amounts or anything though.”
- One user says: “I've made like 80 bucks worth of Bitcoin with mobile games. It takes time, but I played them during time id be doing nothing anyway.”
As you can see, some people think Cointiply is legit. However, pretty much every user complains that Cointiply doesn't pay very much and that it takes a long time to ever get paid.
I agree with this assessment, and overall, don't expect to make much money with Cointiply. Ultimately, the only way to know if Cointiply is worth it is to try it for yourself.
However, remember the opportunity cost of side hustles like paid survey websites and don't get your hopes up.
Is Cointiply A Scam?
No, Cointiply isn't a scam because there is payment proof online and overall, the platform isn't incredibly sketchy despite the suspicious Trustpilot reviews. However, I don't think this platform is worth your time because of how low the earning potential is.
Use the free Bitcoin faucet if you want for some fun, but I'd also look at other beermoney apps and websites.
The Best Sites Like Cointiply
If you're looking for other free Bitcoin faucets like Cointiply, you can also check out:
- BonusBitcoin
- Bitcoinker
- Moon Bitcoin
- BitFun
- SatoshiLabs
- Lolli
These Cointiply alternatives are a good starting point if you just want free BTC. But I think there are plenty of gpt sites that have the same variety of earning methods but better rewards.
For example, sites like InboxDollars and Branded Surveys let you cash out a variety of gift cards and PayPal cash. And InboxDollars even has a $5 sign up bonus unlike Cointiply.
You can also use reward platforms like JumpTask or gaming apps like Cash Giraffe if you want some better gaming offers.
I also made a YouTube video on some of my top paid survey sites you can watch if you want even more ideas.
Overall, all of these alternatives are great ways to make money online as a beginner. And I like that you have more reward options and higher payouts than with Cointiply.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Cointiply Real Or Fake?
Cointiply is a real site that lets you earn free crypto by completing various microtasks. However, the website doesn't pay very much, and payouts can also take a long time to process.
Overall, don't expect to make $500 a day or anything crazy with this site. But if you like earning free crypto, you can give this website a try.
Who Can Use Cointiply?
You need to be 13 or older to sign up for Cointiply, and the platform works worldwide, which is a pretty major plus for this GPT website.
If you meet this basic requirement, head over to Cointiply and sign up with your name and email. You also get a verification email which is required to cash out, and verifying your account also results in a 100 coin bonus.
You can read my post on the best paid survey websites for teens for even more Cointiply alternatives.
Is Cointiply Safe?
Yes, Cointiply is safe and doesn't require entering your payment information or paying to use its services. However, you have to be careful when completing different offers on Cointiply since some partners might ask for payment information or to download different programs to earn rewards.
There's nothing wrong with this, but if you forget to cancel any subscriptions you open, you might get unwanted charges.
How Long Does Cointiply Take To Withdraw Rewards?

Final Thoughts
At the end of the day, you can use Cointiply to make a bit of quick money in your spare time without needing any prior skills. However, I don't think Cointiply is worth your time.
The simple fact is that you'd be lucky to earn more than $2-$3 per hour with this platform.
Sure, maybe you become better at paid surveys and can inch this up, but the earnings are never going to come close to a lot of other side hustles.
If you're physically able, I'd suggest things like delivering food for DoorDash or Uber Eats or trying out the gig economy.
If you're determined to work online, I'd argue that online tutoring jobs or even transcription jobs would pay more than Cointiply.
The only time I'd recommend Cointiply is if you live in a country where you don't have options and are interested in earning Bitcoin.
Other than that, my advice is to spend your time more wisely and to avoid this one.
Thanks so much for reading!
