20+ Best Survey Apps For Money
The best survey sites are flexible, simple ways to earn extra cash without needing any skills. And I've been making money with different survey platforms ever since my time in college.
However, a lot of the top survey sites only have desktop versions. This is great if you want to make money with your laptop, but not great news if you want a phone side hustle. So today, I'm covering some of the best survey apps that let you make money while you're on the go.
The Best Survey Apps
1. Branded Surveys
Branded Surveys is a free survey site that's available in the United States, Canada, and the UK.
You can sign up if you're 18 or older, and Branded Surveys is one of my favorite platforms since it pays well and has free PayPal cash and gift card rewards.
The company also released a mobile app for Android and iOS recently, so you can now earn with your phone and computer at home.
I also like Branded Surveys since you only need $5 to cash out. And the platform even has a loyalty program, Branded Elite, that pays you with free cash bonuses each month if you answer enough surveys.

You need $20 USD equivalent to cash out. But the rates are higher than many sites, so cashing out doesn't take that long.

The free app is available on Android and iOS devices if you live in the United States. Once you're a member, you can answer short surveys when they pop-up on your main dashboard.
Surveys typically pay $0.25 to $1 in my experience. And the main downside is that they're not always available, so you have to answer them as they come and can't grind out surveys all day.

If you want to earn passive income, then SurveySavvy is the best survey app for you.
This platform lets you complete short online surveys for cash. You only need $1 to cash out as well, and you get paid via check, so you're earning actual cash.
But what makes SurveySavvy unique is its passive income option, SavvyConnect. After you download this application, it shares data with how you browse the web with SurveySavvy. You then unlock higher-paying surveys and bonus cash.
This is a similar concept to passive income apps like Nielsen Panel. And if you're comfortable sharing more of your data, it's a nice way to earn cash on autopilot.

One final app you can use to earn cash and gift cards while on your phone is YouGov.
This survey panel is available in 30+ countries. It lets you complete surveys to earn points, and you can then redeem those points for dozens of gift cards or through a bank transfer.

How Much Can You Make With Survey Apps?
In my experience, making $25 to $200 a month is realistic with survey apps. Most sites can pay a few dollars per day if you complete a few surveys and short tasks in your spare time.
Survey apps are really a simple, easy side hustle you can do on your way to work, lunch break, or when watching TV. However, survey apps only pay a few dollars per hour at most. And things like disqualifications and how quickly you complete surveys also impact your earnings.
If you want to make $1,000 dollars a day, survey apps aren't for you. But this is an easy way to make a bit of money on the side without any skills.
Tips For Getting Started
Here are a few tips that I've found helpful over the years with this side hustle:
- Answer Questions Honestly: Survey companies monitor your responses over time and can ban you if you're dishonest.
- Use Several Apps: Combine numerous survey apps so you can pick out the highest-paying surveys and earn more per hour.
- Set A Daily Income Goal: Do you want to make $10 a day, or $50 or even more? Set some income goals to hold yourself accountable, just be realistic.
- Don't Use VPNs: Like being dishonest, using a VPN to access a survey app from a disallowed country is a surefire way to get banned.
- Invite Your Friends: Many survey platforms pay bonuses if you invite other people to join, so take advantage of these easy wins!
Frequently Asked Questions
Are Survey Apps Safe?
Yes, survey apps are safe and legit, and the top sites do pay you for sharing your opinion. However, you have to be comfortable with sharing data about yourself and opinions. I always suggest reading the privacy policies of any survey site you use.
Also note that legit apps and sites should never ask you for your credit card info or details like your SSN.
What's The Highest Paying Survey App?
The highest paying survey app is Pinecone Research since it pays $3 per survey. Branded Surveys and Swagbucks can also have some high-paying surveys and have excellent mobile apps.
Final Thoughts
If you want a simple-yet-effective way to make money while you're on the go, survey apps can get the job done. And if you stick with legitimate apps and companies, there's no reason you can make some decent beermoney without much effort.
Of course, you won't make $10,000 a month or anything like that with paid survey apps. However, that's not the point of this side hustle.
The real point of all of this is to help anyone make a tiny bit of extra cash while they're spending time on their phone. Every little bit counts, after all, so I hope my guide helps you get started.
