16 Best Apps Like Ibotta To Earn Rewards
Ibotta is one of the leading reward apps out there. However, it's not always the best for online shoppers or for different in-person purchases. And that's why using other apps like Ibotta can be useful to stack and maximize earnings.
I've tested and used these Ibotta alternatives in the past, and many of them still have a place on my smartphone to help me save more money each month. Today, I'm sharing some of the best ones with you to help you save.

The Best Apps Like Ibotta
1. Fetch
Fetch is a personal favorite of mine, and it's the most popular app for gift cards you can use to earn rewards by uploading shopping receipts. The main difference between Fetch Rewards and Ibotta is that you don't have to pre-select offers on Fetch. As long as you upload a receipt with any products from any partner brand, you earn points. I use Fetch Rewards to save money every time I shop. And I love that it’s not necessary to select offers before shopping to earn since this saves valuable time. Plus, you only need 3,000 points to redeem various free gift cards. Some gift card options include companies like: Some gift cards require more points, but Fetch's $3 cash out minimum is much better than Ibotta's $20 redemption minimum if you ask me. Apps like Fetch Rewards don't pay as much per offer as Ibotta, which is the main downside. But it's much easier to earn with this app and is a good Ibotta alternative if you want a more passive app. Download Fetch today!2. Capital One Shopping
Another popular Ibotta alternative you can use when shopping online is Capital One Shopping. This free extension automatically applies available coupon codes when you shop online. It works with 30,000+ retailers, and everything happens automatically when you're checking out to help you save more money. I also like Capital One Shopping since it has a useful price comparison tool to help you save on big purchases. Apps like Ibotta are definitely superior for groceries and in-store shopping. But Capital One Shopping wins when it comes to online coupons. Try out Capital One Shopping or read our official Capital One Shopping review. Note: Capital One Shopping compensates us when you sign up with the provided links.3. Bridge Money
If you want to earn passive income while you shop, then Bridge Money is for you. This new rewards app pays you with small amounts of points whenever you shop with a linked card. You can then cash out those points for PayPal payments, so you're earning real cash. Bridge Money is an easy way to get paid for your data. And if you prefer passive options to Ibotta's manual selection process, it definitely belongs on your smartphone. Start earning with Bridge Money!4. Upside
While many of the apps like Ibotta on this list are focused on groceries, Upside is an excellent app to use to save fuel whenever you fill up. This app pays you with cash back on gas at thousands of partner gas stations across the United States. My family uses this app regularly to save at the gas pump, and the savings add up quickly. Upside works similarly to Ibotta in that you claim gas station offers, upload receipts, and then earn cash back. And the app can pay up to $0.25 per gallon or even more. My husband uses Upside regularly and has been averaging between $50 and $100 a month in free giftcards. As someone who drives for a living, he fills up his work vehicle almost daily. This helps him not only earn rewards, but also to find the best deals on fuel in our area. The cash out minimum on Upside does depend on your reward. For gift cards and bank transfers, you need a $10 minimum balance. PayPal requires a $15 minimum balance. Download Upside today!5. Swagbucks
Swagbucks is a leading get-paid-to website that Tom and I have both used for years. The platform has numerous ways to earn, including paid surveys, shopping offers, watching ads, and playing games. But it also has a new Magic receipts section that has some pretty high-paying cash back offers. This feature works similarly to Ibotta lets you you earn rewards for submitting receipts. Some offers pay $5 or even more, like the OxiClean offer I found and posted in the image above. You can also find cash-back offers on everyday essentials, groceries, and home goods that are similar to Ibotta. Plus, Swagbucks has various gift card rewards starting at just $1. PayPal money is also available at $5, and new members can also get a $10 sign up bonus by completing a few steps. Swagbucks' sister websites, InboxDollars and MyPoints, also have cash back offers that are similar to apps like Ibotta. So, you can check out all these platforms and cherry-pick the best ones. Start earning with Swagbucks!6. Shopkick
Shopkick pays you with kicks, the in-app point system, for buying products like with Ibotta. But you can also earn by walking into stores, shopping online, scanning barcodes, and watching videos. Ibotta pays more than Shopkick for shopping offers, but the fact Shopkick pays you to walk and explore your city and different stores is unique. I have found that with apps like Shopkick, promotions tend to appear and disappear quickly. So, one Shopkick hack I would give when using this app is to be sure to submit your receipts ASAP after making your purchase. Shopkick offers a wide variety of rewards including Target, Walmart, PayPal cash, and more. You can cash out on Shopkick once you have a minimum of $500 points, which equals $2, so it also pays much faster than Ibotta. Try out Shopkick today! Pro Tip: Use my code ‘TOW' and get a nice $5 sign up bonus after earning your first kicks!7. Rakuten
If you do most of your shopping online, then Rakuten is one of the best Ibotta competitors you can use. This shopping extension pays you for shopping at thousands of retailers. All you have to do is download the extension and then you automaticall earn when shopping at eligible partners. Ibotta also has a shopping extension to let you save money online. But Rakuten has higher cash-back rates and way more partners. Tom has also been using Rakuten for years and has earned $1,200+ in cash back. Plus, Rakuten has a nice sign up bonus of $30 when you sign up with our link and spend $30 on a qualifying shopping offer. Our post on Ibotta vs Rakuten also compares these two platforms in more detail if you're curious. And you can also check out Coupert, another useful extension, for even more savings.8. Checkout 51
Similar to Ibotta, Checkout 51 lets shoppers claim promotional offers on their favorite products, submit a receipt, and receive cash back payments. With a rotating list of promotional offers that updates on Thursday mornings, Checkout 51 has plenty of ways to save. And the app is particularly useful for earning cash back on staples like bread, milk, fruit, and other essentials. Checkout 51 is also available in the United States and Canada, whereas Ibotta is only available in the United States. Both apps also has a $20 cash out minimum, but Ibotta has gift cards and cash rewards whereas Checkout 51 just pays via check and PayPal. 👉 The Top Money Earning Apps Without Investment.9. NCP Mobile
NCP Mobile is a division of the Nielsen TV rating company and rewards shoppers for sharing information about the various items they purchase. After you download the app, you scan the different items you purchase, which helps the research group track product purchase data. You earn points for scanning products and answering short surveys that you can redeem for gift cards, appliances, electronics, and even cash. Free gift cards from NCP Mobile start at about 5000 – 6000 points, which can take around 20 to 40 scans to reach. High-value merchandise rewards can require tens of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands of points. Apps like Ibotta are better for pre-selecting rebates and earning steadier cash. But NCP Mobile could be better if you don't want to change your shopping habits too much. Download NCP Mobile!10. Dosh
If you like passive income apps, then Dosh is one of the best apps like Ibotta out there. With Dosh, you automatically earn cash back when you shop at a partner merchant with a link card. So, you never have to scan receipts or select offers before shoppig like you do with Ibotta. This does require linking your card to the app. But Dosh works with many major brands like:- Adidas
- Costco
- Disney
- Gopuff
- Lyft
- Sam's Club
11. Shopmium (Coupons.com)
If you’re an old school couponer like me, you probably rely on printable coupons to save money each month. But if you want a more modern take on the coupon world, you can try Shopmium, which recently absorbed the well-known Coupons.com. Now more a rebate app rather than a coupon app, you can select offers and scan your receipts to receive cash back. Want to make things even easier? Link your store loyalty card to automatically get cash back to your account each time you purchase. The good news is that there is no minimum payout to cash out your Shopmium account. Every time you earn rewards they will be sent directly to your PayPal account. Payment usually takes about 48 hours. 👉 The Best Side Hustles For Women.12. Receipt Hog
Another popular app like Ibotta that pays you for uploading shopping receipts is Receipt Hog. While many cash back apps on this list focus on grocery items, Receipt Hog accepts receipts from a variety of retailers including stores, restaurants, and pretty much anywhere you shop. As you use Receipt Hog more often, you can qualify for more ways to get free Receipt Hog points including surveys and contests. After you have accumulated 1,000 coins on this app, you can redeem them for a Mastercard or Visa e-gift card, free PayPal cash, or an Amazon gift card. Ibotta pays way more per receipt than Receipt Hog. But the advantage of Receipt Hog is that almost any receipt earns points, and you don't have to pre-select offers.13. Drop
Another popular app that pays you to shop at your favorite retailers like Ibotta is Drop. This U.S. and Canadian shopping app pays you with points for shopping at hundreds of brand partners. You can then cash out for various gift cards starting at $20 to $25. In addition to earning rewards for shopping through drop, you can also make money playing games, referring friends, and taking surveys. This makes Drop much more versatile than Ibotta, although it doesn't have grocery offers and focuses on categories like electronics, apparel, and entertainment. You also have to link your card to the app to use it. Start earning with Drop!14. ReceiptPal
Like Receipt Hog, ReceiptPal is another app like Ibotta that pays you for uploading almost any shopping receipt. The app is also unique in that receipts you upload help you complete scratch cards. When you turn-in a card, you earn points that you can redeem for gift cards, and you can make about $1.25 per week with this app if you upload enough receipts. This isn't a high-paying app like Ibotta. But it's easy to add ReceiptPal into your routine if you're already using several receipt scanning apps to earn free money. As for rewards, it takes $5 to cash out, and you can redeem a wide variety of gift cards. And we also recommend stacking this app with ReceiptJar, another similar app.15. Amazon Shopper Panel
If you want to earn free Amazon gift cards, the Amazon Shopper Panel is one of the best apps like Ibotta out there. This U.S. rewards app pays you with $10 Amazon gift cards if you upload 10 non-Amazon receipts to the app every month. This is over $100 per year in free gift cards, and you can earn even more if you complete short surveys. The downside to this app is that you have to join a waiting list, so it can take a few months to get in. So, I'd use apps like Ibotta until you eventually get accepted. 👉 The Best Secret Websites To Make Money.16. DollarSprout Rewards
One final Ibotta competitor you can use is DollarSprout Rewards. This shopping rewards platform is similar to Ibotta's extension and Rakuten. It pays you with cash back when you shop at 15,000+ of retail partners. Cash back you earn deposits in your account, and you can cash out via PayPal after earning $5. And I like that the extension notifies you when there's an eligible cash-back opportunity and then pays you automatically. For online shopping, this is definitely a better alternative to Ibotta. But again, Ibotta reigns supreme for things like groceries and everyday essentials. Try out DollarSprout Rewards! Extra Reading – 30+ Best Apps With Referral Bonuses.Tips For Getting Started
