Adobe Photoshop ($995)
Photoshop is the big daddy of graphics programs. A lot of people use it to make pictures for their Web sites since it's so powerful, but check out the price tag! Yikes! Adobe often has discounts for schools, however, so ask about that before shelling out any cash.
For Windows:
