f you are lacking any of the various programs necessary for creating Web sites, then jet on over to Tools. We've provided links to our favorite programs for writing HTML, creating graphics, and uploading files.
There is also a Links section, if your kids are getting tired of learning and are ready to visit another site. We've included a list of kid-created sites too.
Tucked away within Tools is the Reference section, which includes an HTML Cheat Sheet (all of the tags on one big printable page), a list of special characters (the codes necessary to make stuff like © and & appear on a Web page), and a list of color codes (all of the Web-safe colors and their accompanying hexadecimal codes).
Finally, there's the Playground, where kids can kick back, watch some fun stuff, and see what's possible on the Web. We've included a number of short animated clips and some interactive programs.
We hope that Webmonkey for Kids can help your children or students get started creating their own cool stuff on the Web. If you want to suggest how we can improve our site, please drop us a line.
